I鈥檓 afraid it鈥檚 true, at least according to Petopia. The only two low level dragonhawks have caster stats. And thus they will not have as much armor or as
many hit points as non-caster stat pets. However, if you really like the looks of the pet then I say go for it. I have one on my draenei hunter and thus far, only level 20, the pet has been fine.
But if you like a different pet just as much it might be a better choice.
My blood elf hunter tamed one of the Springpaw Stalkers in the starting area. I like the bright red look of the cat. I named him Sunspark and he鈥檚 made a fine companion.
If you haven鈥檛 done so yet, check out Petopia to see all the different pets available in game and at what level.
